Sex and Intimacy Support
“Pleasure is the measure.” Adrienne Maree Brown
Prairie & Path specializes in helping adults and their partners heal from emotional barriers in order to recover intimacy, connection, and pleasure. Many clients seek support after sexual assault, while others are navigating the impact of PTSD, neurodivergence, chronic pain, sensory differences, or identity exploration on their relationships and sexual well-being.
Therapy recognizes that healing is not one-size-fits-all. For autistic, ADHD, and other neurodivergent adults, recovery may include addressing sensory needs, communication differences, and accommodations that support safety, trust, and meaningful connection.
Support in this area may include:
Healing from sexual assault, sexual abuse, and trauma-related PTSD
Rebuilding safety, body trust, intimacy, and pleasure after trauma
Accommodating sensory sensitivities, touch aversion, and differences in sensory processing
Supporting autistic and ADHD adults navigating relationships, intimacy, and sexuality
Navigating desire discrepancies within relationships
Gender identity and sexual orientation exploration
Understanding cultural, religious, or family-based shame around sexuality
Supporting consensual non-monogamy, including polyamorous relationships
Affirming support for kink, BDSM, and power exchange relationships
