THE FRAMEWORK:

Therapy is individualized and collaborative, drawing from several evidence-based approaches depending on your needs, goals, and nervous system capacity. The following are the models I use most frequently in this work:

NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model)
NARM is an evidence-informed, trauma therapy approach that explores how early experiences shape patterns of identity, emotional regulation, and connection. Rather than focusing on extensive retelling of the past, NARM centers present-moment awareness and how protective patterns continue to impact daily life, relationships, and self-perception. This work supports greater flexibility, self-understanding, and more authentic connection.

ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention)
ERP is a first-line, evidence-based treatment for OCD and anxiety disorders. It involves gradual, supported exposure to feared thoughts, sensations, or situations while reducing reliance on avoidance and compulsive behaviors. This process helps retrain the nervous system’s fear response, leading to decreased anxiety and increased confidence in tolerating uncertainty and distress.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is a well-established, evidence-based trauma therapy used to help the nervous system process and integrate distressing or traumatic experiences. Through bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports adaptive reprocessing so memories become less emotionally activating and more resolved. It is widely used for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and related symptoms.

Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
Compassion-Focused Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps reduce shame, self-criticism, and emotional suffering by strengthening self-compassion and emotional regulation skills. This model is especially helpful for individuals with high inner criticism, trauma histories, and difficulty accessing self-kindness. Over time, CFT supports a more stable and supportive internal relationship.

Excitingly, services are now offered in Illinois, making it even easier for individuals in both OK and IL to access high-quality, empathetic care. Illinois residents can use the same link in the “Schedule” tab. Upcoming: Services will soon be expanded to Missouri and Utah.
